People have increased knowledge and understanding of how Tuberculosis disease is transmitted and can be controlled

Project Details

People who were screened out of which 129 were referred to the TB Laboratory Unit for diagnosis; their test results revealed that 21 were smear sputum positive, while 89 were smear sputum negative and 19, failed to report to the TB Lab for diagnosis. However, CARD conducted successful tracking and had the 19 cases diagnosed.

Vulnerable and at-risk children whose parents or guardians have Tuberculosis disease received Ionized Prevention Therapy (IPT) initiated among eligible contacts 0-14 years administered to prevent them from infection

Livelihood Support Project

Project Details

Distressed single mothers were empowered to meet their daily living costs and able to pay school fees for their children. Those were single mothers whose partners abandoned them, while others got pregnant from rape incidents during the height of the conflict in 2015-17. The women economic empowerment project delivered vocational skills to the targeted vulnerable women

Smallholder farmers have increased knowledge and skills in sustainable agriculture as a result of smallholder farmer’s capacity building training and technical support project provided to them by the Center for Advocacy, Relief, and Development (CARD)

Education Support Programme

Project Details

Beneficiaries who are orphans and those whose parents have disabilities and are not able to raise money for their children’s tuition fees and scholastics have access to education through CARD’s scholarship program

Beneficiaries who are internally displaced persons due to conflict in 2016 received food and non-food distributions by CARD on behalf of partner humanitarian relief agencies.
